Arêches-Beaufort is a typical Savoyard village located half way along the road from Albertville to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Nestled between 1080 m and 2300 m in the Beaufortain Massif range, the resort isn’t super high but it has a good snow record nonetheless, and spectacular views over the mighty Mont Blanc.
Family friendly, it’s great for kids with easy skiing through the forest and a decent snowpark. Powder hounds will have their fill in the easily accessible backcountry terrain that doesn’t get tracked out in the first five minutes like some bigger resorts.
