Anointed by dirt, powered by passion, the Crankworx World Tour travels for the fourth time to Les Gets in the French Alps from the 14 to 18 June.
Staking a claim for mountain biking in France, the global centre of cycling, Crankworx Les 2 Alpes touches down under the largest skiable glacier in Europe. Located an hour-and-a-half from Grenoble and a stone’s throw from the Italian border, the historic alpine village provides a stunning setting to consecrate the innovation and showmanship of the best gravity athletes. Aeronautic tricksters, speed freaks and enduro maestros meet to compete on the steep scree slopes of the Alps and push the limits of what’s possible on a mountain bike to the brink.
The nearest international airport is Geneva, located about 1 hour 15 mins away by car and serviced by a number of no-frills and charter airlines. There are regular transfer buses from Geneva airport or you can book a private transfer. If you’re travelling by train, the French high-speed train, the nearest big station with high-speed connections to major cities is Bellegarde near Geneva. From there you can connect with a local train to Cluses or Thonon-les-Bains.

Thrills and spills are in store for this the climax of Crankworx Les Gets. This year the Les Gets Slopestyle becomes the critical mid-season determiner for the Triple Crown of Slopestyle. Should the athlete who won the Slopestyle course in Rotorua repeat in France, there is just one competition to go to secure the crown. This course is notorious on the global circuit for its spectacular setting and intensity of the course. An invitation-only event, it is sure to be the highlight of the festival for many.
