A short 30 minute transfer from Chamonix brings you to Courmayeur on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc. From the heli-port at 1240 m it’s a short flight to some impressive landing sites such as the Dôme des Glaciers, l’Aiguille de l’Aigle, l’Aiguille des Glaciers and the Piton des Italiens. Expect huge vertical drop and sustained steep off-piste skiing through awe-inspiring glacial terrain.
From La Rosière in the Upper Tarentaise, a short hop takes you up to the Col du Petit Saint Bernard and access to the glacier du Ruitor at 3400 m and epic descents into Valgrisenche and Sainte Foy.
Heliski Mont Blanc also operate in the jaw-dropping Valais region of Switzerland with heli-skiing decents from Petit Combin (3672 m), Rosablanche (3336 m) and Pigne d’Arolla (3700 m), which is the highest peak on the Chamonix Zermatt epic ski tour.
Heli-Skiing the summit of Mont Blanc
An unforgettable way to experience the majesty of the Mont Blanc is to heli-ski from the summit. This trip takes you well off the beaten track with a heli drop on the impressive Piton des Italiens at 4002 m. Skinning up the Bionnassy arete to access the summit and the spectacular and steep descent down the north face with its 3500 m of vertical drop. Heli-skiing allows you to really enjoy the summit and the descent without the risk associated with spending too much time at altitude.

Vallée Blanche Off-Piste Descent

The Vallée Blanche is one of the world’s best off-piste descents. An epic 20 km run covering nearly 3000 m of vertical drop. From the Aiguille du Midi lift station you rope up to descend the exposed arête before donning your skis or snowboard. The glacial terrain is unfathomable and the route can be varied according to your ability and the conditions on the day.
Extreme Steep Skiing

Steep skiing trips are aimed at expert skiers who already have some ski mountaineering experience. Routes include classic lines such as the Aiguille de la Noire, the Aiguille du Tacul and the Couloir des Capucins. Step it up even further and tackle lines with 50° sections such as the south face of the Dent du Géant and the Col des Cristaux.
Heliski Mont Blanc also offer an extreme skiing guiding service aimed at expert skiers wanting to take on the Alps’ most extreme and technical lines. Itineraries include, the north face of the Aiguille du Midi, Barbey Couloir on the Aiguille d’Argentière and Couloir Whymper on the Aiguille Verte.
Combine extreme skiing with heli-skiing to access some of the Alps most mythical lines including the north face of Mont Fortin and the west face of Mont Blanc. Occasionally, some boot backing or skinning is required to reach the start of the route.
