With 5 trips available from a 1.5 hour discovery trip to a full day’s rafting extravaganza, everyone can enjoy the thrills and spills of southern France’s best whitewater. Aqua Viva Est use fully qualified raft guides, so you’re in safe hands, but you do need to be able to swim and be comfortable in moving water. Aqua Viva Est – Hydrospeed

Hydrospeed, often called riverboarding, guarantees a good dunking as you boogie board your way down the whitewater rapids.
A great group activity, your guide will show you how to pilot your hydrospeed float before you hit the water. Aqua Viva Est’s trip takes in one of the most spectacular parts of the Verdon Gorge from Carajuan to Point Sublime, a 6 km descent that takes about 2 hours. The rapids get progressively more technical and you’ll finish on a high with Solitaire, the famous Verdon rapid. After a 15 minute hike out of the gorge, you’ll take the minibus back to Castellane. Equipped with a wetsuit, helmet and lifejacket, you can choose to float down the turquoise water, or the thrill-seekers among you can leap off huge boulders into crystal clear pools. Aqua Viva Est – Canyoning

Canyoning is in many ways the ultimate adventure sport. It combines the fun of a whitewater activity with the thrill of exploration. Kitted out with a wetsuit, helmet, life jacket and harness, you’ll jump, slide, abseil and swim your way down the canyon in the safe hands of your fully qualified canyoning guide.
Aqua Viva Est have 6 canyoning trips on offer, from 1.5 hour descents to all-day adventures with 30 metre waterfalls and vertiginous zip-lines. And, whether you’re a first timer or experienced, there’s a canyon to suit. Slicing through the Alpes de Haute-Provence, the turquoise Verdon has a number of superb descents. The Clue de Jabron is great fun and perfect for discovering the sport, whilst full-day descent like the Ravin de Mainmorte, the Val d’Angouire and the more technical Lance in the Upper Verdon will satisfy the most discerning adventure-seekers.
The Esteron in the Alpes Maritimes also has some spectacular descents including Riolan, which is considered one of the best canyoning descents in France.

Aqua Viva Est – Via Cordata

Scale the heights of the Verdon Gorge, take on rope swings, ladders and ziplines and get the thrill and exposure of big-wall climbing without the risk.
Safely hooked into a series of ropes that wind their way up the sheer walls of the Verdon Gorge, you’ll scale the rock face and earn spectacular views over the river below. It doesn’t stop there though. To complete the via cordata course you’ll need to abseil, zipline, rope swing, and climb as well.
