Find and book your kitesurf lesson or course and go from body-dragging beginner to high-flying expert with kitesurfing tuition from a qualified instructor.
The Active Azur kitesurf school directory lists schools in France offering FFVL and IKO kitesurfing lessons for all abilities, from complete beginner courses to advanced coaching with pro level riders.
In addition to kitesurf courses aimed at groups, many of the schools offer private tuition where your training is customised to your needs.
If you’re a beginner keen to take up the sport, we recommend a three-day kitesurfing course. You will cover the fundamentals and kite control, safety, site assessments, and kite set-up. Then get out on the water to learn body dragging, self-rescue techniques, board starts and continuous riding whilst keeping the kite powered up. Finally, you’ll spend another full day on the board to really master getting up and going, controlled edging, upwind riding and turns. By the end of a three-day course, you should be kiteboarding confidently and independently.
